This second hand Weltmeister Stella 40 bass accordion is a great option for someone looking for a smaller, lightweight accordion. This accordion weights approximately 5.5kg and features a compact frame that is easier to handle and requires less physical effort to play. This is a vintage German accordion.

 

In general, the tuning is good on this accordion, however there are a few notes toward the extreme top and bottom of the accordion that could benefit from tuning. This is most noticeable on the master coupler. (See video) Other than these couple of minor tuning issues the accordion is working fine. The bellows are tight and the keywork is quick and smooth. As a second hand instrument, the accordion shows a few signs of use in terms of scuffs, scrapes, and general cosmetic wear, but these are minor and do not affect the playability.

 

The lowest C#/Db key appears to have been repaired at some point in the past but the work is tidy and it is barely noticeable under the fingers.

 

This accordion comes with a hard case in full working order.
