This is a second hand English large bore Boosey & Hawkes Symphony 1010 Bb clarinet in full working order. This clarinet's serial number dates it to 1981. As a large bore clarinet, this clarinet needs to be played with large bore mouthpieces. Included with this clarinet are 2 large bore clarinet mouthpieces, the original 1010 and one made by Pillinger that is engraved PL 45a. Both mouthpieces are in full working order with no damage to the tips, rails, or tables.

 

The clarinet has no cracks or other damage to the wood and the tan leather pads have a lot of life left in them. As you can see in the video the clarinet speaks quite easily. The keys do have quite a bit of tarnish on them, which is strictly a cosmetic issue and does not affect the playability of the instrument.

 

The clarinet comes in a student level Buffet case that is fully functional but looks a bit tired with quite a few scuffs and scratches.
