This is a 1970 Selmer MKVI tenor saxophone (sn. 179,xxx) in full working order. I find this horn to be an exceptional player, with a load of warmth and depth to the tone. There are some MKVI's that stand out from the crowd and in my opinion, this is one of them. This horn comes with a Gloger Handkraft heavy silver neck. This neck has a big impact on the tone, adding a lot of warmth and colour and also a bit of resistance. I find the neck really compliments the horn well and makes it into something quite special. This saxophone comes with its original neck as well.

 

This horn is in outstanding playing shape. It has recently had the pads looked at by Steve Crow and everything is sealing as it should. This horn is very responsive and will absolutely whisper down low. Mechanically, this is one of the nicest feeling MKVI's I've come across. Everything is smooth and quick and feels great under the fingers.

 

This saxophone comes with a Bam Hightech case, which is a backback style hardcase. This case is in full working order and has a lot of life left in it. It's very comfortable to carry around and protects the saxophone well.
