1965 Otto Link Florida ''No USA'' STM 7* Bari Mouthpiece
This is a second hand Otto Link Florida ''No USA'' Super Tone Master 7* baritone saxophone mouthpiece in full working order. Florida STM's from this era are called ''No USA'' models because they don't have ''USA'' stamped onto the shank. We know that it is a 1965 model because that was the first year of production for the 'No USA' and they only stamped ''Otto Link'' onto the ligature screws for one year.
''No USA'' Florida links are all a bit individual as they were hand finished. In general, they have a bit more of a baffle than one might expect if you are used to modern links. This one in particular plays beautifully and very easily. It would suit a soloist but also has plenty of bark and ease of response in the low register for a big band player.
This is definitely a ''player's piece'' and has seen a lot of use. The plating was very thin on the Flordia Otto Links and has nearly completely worn off of this one, which is typical. The tip and rails as well as the bite plate are all in great condition. There is a slight amount of wear at the tip of the horseshoe where the window meets the table but the table is flat and seals well. This mouthpiece comes with its original ligature and cap, which are both fully working. This is a fine example of an absolutely legendary mouthpiece!
