This is a 1953 (sn. 50,xxx) Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) tenor saxophone in fully working, recently overhauled condition. This horn has fresh black roo pads and everything is sealing great. This horn has been played a lot and has a good amount of lacquer wear, as you'd expect from a monster horn from the early 50's. This horn could definitely tell you some stories and has plenty of life left in it. This horn is mechanically sound and the action is quick and light and feels good under the fingers. This horn has never had any major damage or neck pull down and is in great shape. You don't see SBA's like floating around as often as you used to.

This saxophone comes with a Selmer-branded wooden case in full working order but no mouthpiece.
