This is a 1947 Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) tenor saxophone in fully working order. (Sn 34,xxx) 1947 was the first year of production for SBA's, making this horn a very early model.

This horn is a great player with a really beautiful vintage look. Originally silver plated, the silver plating has worn off in a way that has left it with a very unique, cloudy finish. This horn is super resonant and lovely to play. Mechanically it is sound and has never had any significant damage or neck pull down. This is a true vintage Selmer classic horn that sounds incredible now and will for many years to come.

This saxophone comes with a backpack-style case in full working order and a leather neck pouch. Please note, this saxophone does not come with a mouthpiece.

This saxophone, along with our entire range of vintage saxophones and mouthpieces is available for trial in shop. If you have any questions, please contact us on 0161 273 1000.
