1936 Selmer Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone -- Recently Repadded
This is a 1936 Selmer Balanced Action tenor saxophone in full working order. This saxophone has been recently repadded and is playing great with a warm and robust tone. Someone removed the mechanism that regulates the height of the right hand D key historically, which was subsequently restored by the previous owner. This piece is not original but has been sympathetically restored to its original design. One of the rods that holds the upper stack has some damage to it, though this doesn't affect the mechanism at all, it is purely cosmetic. This saxophone has also had a large and very comfortable touchpiece fitted for the left hand thumb. This saxophone has recently had a complete set of new pads put in and is sealing great. This horn is in fine playing condition.
This saxophone is not supplied with a mouthpiece but does come with a modern style Selmer Paris backpack case.
This saxophone, along with our entire collection of vintage horns, is available in shop.
