1933 Selmer Super Series Tenor Saxophone
This is a vintage 1933 Selmer Super Series tenor saxophone in full working order. (sn.17,xxx) This saxophone has been recently overhauled and is playing great. It has a new set of pads, which are sealing very well and the mechanism is smooth and feels good under the fingers. This saxophone has never had any major damage and has been well looked after. It has been relacquered so the lacquer is in good condition. It does have a few minor dings, light scratches, etc, as you would expect from a vintage horn.
This horn would particularly suit anyone interested in early jazz and big band music. This horn plays with a big, fat, and warm sound with plenty of vintage glow. Fans of Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, etc will find this horn does the job.
This horn comes with a case that is in full working order.
Please note, this saxophone is not supplied with a mouthpiece.
This saxophone is available for play test / inspection, along with our entire collection of vintage and second hand saxophones and mouthpieces in shop.
Please contact the shop on 0161 273 1000 if you have any questions regarding this saxophone. Please feel free to stop by and try it as well.
