1932 Conn Transitional New Wonder II / Chu Berry Tenor Saxophone
This is a 1932 Conn Transitional New Wonder II / Chu Berry tenor saxophone in full working order. The serial number, 249,xxx, dates it to 1932, which is just two years before they began making the 'M' series so this saxophone is considered a transitional model. It's a unique and great playing horn that sits in between the Chu Berry and the 10M.
This saxophone has had the left hand thumb touch piece replaced with a very large and flat touch piece that is very comfortable and gives a solid feeling to the horn.
This horn has been recently overhauled with fresh pads and is ready to play. It has all the fatness you'd expect from a vintage Conn and can easily whisper down low.
As a second hand instrument this horn has few minor dings and scratches but these are purely cosmetic. This horn is pretty tidy for being well over 90 years old. Mechanically, this horn is sound and feels great under the fingers.
This horn comes with a Hiscox Liteflite case in full working order.
Please note, this saxophone is not supplied with a mouthpiece.
This saxophone is available for play test / inspection, along with our entire collection of vintage and second hand saxophones in shop.
