1931 Conn Transitional Alto Saxophone - Recently Overhauled
This is a 1931 Conn transitional alto in full working order. (sn. 247,xxx) As a transitional alto, it sits in between the New Wonder and the 6M. This alto has the bell keys all on the left side of the bell along with the improved ergonomics of the left hand pinky keys, which was one of the major changes that came with the 6M. It also has the underslung octave mechanism and fully working micro tuner, which you would expect to see on a 6M. This horn still retains the fatness that you would expect of a New Wonder, with the improved mechanics of the 6M
This saxophone has been fully overhauled with black roo pads and is playing great with everything seal well. It has rolled tone holes and is in its original lacquer. This saxophone has had a new touchpiece fitted for the left thumb, which is very comfortable and feels very stable.
This saxophone comes with a leather neck pouch and a Gator gig bag, both of which are in full working order.
This saxophone is available for play test / inspection, along with our entire collection of vintage and second hand saxophones and mouthpieces in shop.
