This 6 string Saxon Lyre was hand made in England by Frank Tidy at Styre Instruments. It is fitted with a pickup and has volume, treble and bass controls.

The wood for this instrument is  Burmese Teak which was salvaged from the wreck of the SS Pegu which was sunk by German U-boats in 1917. The timber was being carried as cargo on the ship and was recovered intact in 2011. Some of this timber has been used to restore the Cutty Sark, and some has been used to create this unique instrument.

Comes with hard case.
