This Gibson D Style "Alrite" Mandolin was made in Kalamazoo, USA in 1917. It shows signs of its age and has a fair bit of wear, but is still fully functional and plays well. 

There are some signs of past repairs on the binding near the neck join and there is a repaired crack on the back, but all repairs are stable and shouldn't cause any further problems.
