Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payments both online through PROTX and offline by Fax or telephone. If you are shopping from a country other than the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch, Solo and American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We ship items by various couriers including Royal Mail, Parcelforce, ANC/Fedex, Bullet Express and others as the need arises. Most items take between 1 and 3 working days to arrive but can take upto 10 working days dependent on stock levels. If there will be any delay to delivery due to shipping reasons then we will inform you before shipping. Tracking numbers can be provided upon request AFTER shipping, by email only, for most items. Delivery will be to your confirmed card address only unless an alternative address is arranged BEFORE ordering.
Orders are normally dispatched the same or next working day unless the listing quotes otherwise. Some products state shipping as usually within 5 - 10 working days as they are normally shipped from the manufacturer / distributor from their stock to us as you order. Other items state 'available to order' which means that the manufacturers / distributors stock can be eratic and therefore may take between 1 week and 2 months to supply. We carry a large range of stock but also obtain supplies direct from the manufacturers / distributors. If you have any doubt as to when you will receive your order please call 0161 273 1000 BEFORE ordering and we can confirm all details for you - ask for Ben.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. International orders need to be arranged by telephone prior to ordering and will be VAT free.
Credit Card Security
We do not process any of your sensitive credit card details on our site. We use large, established, bank authorised and respected 3rd parties for our online credit card processing. Our main processor is PROTX - www.protx.com. All of the Protx solutions use high levels of encryption. Protx is a an approved payment soltuions provider for Lloyds TSB Cardnet, Barclays Merchant Services, HSBC, American Express, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland. Protx has been audited and approved by all of the major UK acquiring banks which require Protx to adhere to all APACS standards. Protx have also been audited and accredited under the Visa Account Information Security (AIS) audit that specifically examines security of credit card details processed and stored by Protx.
We can also accept payment through Paypal . Paypal is established and well known , Paypal is actually owned by eBay. Again, if paying through Paypal, we do not get to see or deal with your credit card details
If you order online, Johnny Roadhouse Music does not get to see your credit card details at any point. This is the most secure way of purchasing online. If ordering offline i.e. by fax or phone, then we process the payment through our merchant account with Natwest Streamline. We are a long standing merchant with Natwest Streamline (over 25 years), our store has been established for over 50 years. All card details are then destroyed once the transaction is completed.
We do not advise that you send any credit card details by email as this is sent over the internet in 'open' text so can therefore be read by anyone.

Goods can be returned, regardless of reason, within 7days. This is on condition that the goods are with all original packaging and in 'as new' condition i.e. they must be as you received them with no marks or other damage. the customer is responsible for return postage unless the item(s) are faulty. All other new goods come with the standard 12 month manufacturers guarantee unless otherwise stated. Conditions of returns in respect to refunds, replacements and or repair vary from manufaturer to manufacturer and length of time that you have had the goods.
