Situated within Hobgoblin Manchester is Manchester's premier Brass and Woodwind department. The oldest section of the shop, set up first and foremost by Johnny "The Sax" Roadhouse more than fifty years ago, The Manchester Saxophone Centre contains a huge array of instruments - everything from trombones to tubas.
Johnny Roadhouse Music has long been the first place that prominent musicians look to for advice, help and great prices. As well as offering unbeatable deals on new and vintage musical instruments, we have a comprehensive equipment hire service and we are the first port of call when touring bands play at the larger venues in Manchester, such as The Apollo, Academy, Ritz and the MEN arena. The guitar being played by Paul McCartney (pictured above) is a Yamaha DW8L acoustic. The guitar was hired from Johnny Roadhouse Music for an exclusive session on the Mark and Lard show (BBC Radio 1) and was especially restrung by Ken Thompson to Paul's specifications.
