Johnny Roadhouse Music is a family owned and run music superstore that has been serving the musicians of Greater Manchester and beyond for over half a century. On the basement level is a comprehensive drum and percussion department, with an array of brand new and second hand drum kits ranging from entry level kits to the latest professional set-ups, such as Sonor, Premier and Tama, as well as a whole lineup of percussion and accessories for you to choose from.

the latest pedals, effects units, P.A equipment, microphones and recording equipment. The department also
features a comprehensive equipment hire service, serving the needs of touring bands and smaller gigs

Situated within Hobgoblin Manchester is Manchester's premier Brass and Woodwind department. The oldest section of the shop, set up first and foremost by Johnny "The Sax" Roadhouse more than fifty years ago, The Manchester Saxophone Centre contains a huge array of instruments - everything from trombones to tubas.

Johnny Roadhouse Music has long been the first place that prominent musicians look to for advice, help and great prices. As well as offering unbeatable deals on new and vintage musical instruments, we have a comprehensive equipment hire service and we are the first port of call when touring bands play at the larger venues in Manchester, such as The Apollo, Academy, Ritz and the MEN arena. Other clients also include the BBC and ITV, who often come to us for instruments to use as props, or BBC radio for bands playing live sessions. The guitar being played by Paul McCartney (pictured above) is a Yamaha DW8L acoustic. The guitar was hired from Johnny Roadhouse Music for an exclusive session on the Mark and Lard show (BBC Radio 1) and was especially restrung by Ken Thompson to Paul's specifications. The guitar is on view at Johnny Roadhouse Music in Manchester.
